Applying a good application of fertilizer in the fall will help give your lawns the nutrients it needs to get through the winter.
This fall application will help increase the density of your lawn. In addition, it helps your lawn resist winter weeds and improves recovery in the spring.

We have 2 go-to traditional, slow-release fertilizers we recommend. The slow release coating on these allows the nutrients to release slowly, over time to prevent burning and longer lasting results.

• 21-7-14 slow release is recommended for sandy soils. The application rate is 10 lbs per 1,000 sq. ft.
  
• The MicroLife Multi-Purpose 6-2-4 is a fantastic, all-purpose, organic fertilizer. It is a proven performer for all turfgrasses, ornamentals, perennials, trees, flowers & vegetables. This formula provides over 100 nutrients, minerals and vitamins and is 100% slow release and will not burn. For lawns spread 15-20 lbs per 1,000 square feet.
